Unauthorized file writes via unchecked ZIP extraction
Published Feb 3, 2026 · Updated Feb 3, 2026
File upload validation bypass in Open eClass before 4.2 allows remote authenticated users to write prohibited file types via ZIP extraction. The built-in archive extractor writes ZIP members without applying the extension restrictions enforced by the direct-upload path. Access to the archive upload and extraction interface is required, and the demonstrated consequence is unauthorized file storage rather than file execution.
