CVE-2026-24517Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated root command execution via firmware update input

Published Feb 27, 2026 · Updated Feb 27, 2026

OS command injection in Copeland XWEB PRO 1.12.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary commands. The firmware-update route concatenates request-controlled input into operating system commands and passes the result to Lua system-execution functions without sanitization. Administrative authentication is required; injected shell metacharacters execute as root on the controller, enabling control-system compromise.
