Configuration-secret disclosure via crafted placeholder traversal
Published Feb 16, 2026 · Updated Feb 16, 2026
Dynamic variable evaluation in pretix-doistep before 1.3.2 allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive server configuration. The email-placeholder renderer accepts crafted attribute chains because the plugin's malicious-placeholder protections are incomplete. Any backend user able to edit email templates can expose configuration secrets, including database passwords and API keys.
