Authenticated code execution via ZIP entry traversal
Published Jan 27, 2026 · Updated Jan 27, 2026
Path traversal in HUSTOJ before 26.01.24 allows remote authenticated users to execute code by importing a crafted ZIP archive. The import modules concatenate each untrusted ZIP entry name with an extraction path and pass the resulting pathname to file_put_contents without removing parent-directory elements. Administrative access to either import page is required; a planted PHP file executes with the web server account's permissions.
