Arbitrary file write via unsanitized attachment filenames
Published Jan 26, 2026 · Updated Jan 26, 2026
Path traversal in Mintplex Labs AnythingLLM before 1.10.0 allows remote authenticated users to write arbitrary server files. The DrupalWiki _downloadAndProcessAttachments method appends an external attachment fileName to WATCH_DIRECTORY without validation and passes the path to writeFileSync. Administrative access is sufficient; alternatively, an attacker must persuade an administrator to configure a malicious DrupalWiki URL, after which writes to executable or configuration paths enable code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
