CVE-2026-24450Network attack vector

Heap corruption via overflowed pixel-buffer allocation

Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026

Heap buffer overflow in LibRaw Commit 8dc68e2 allows attackers to corrupt memory through a crafted floating-point DNG file. uncompressed_fp_dng_load_raw multiplies attacker-controlled tile dimensions and sample count using 32-bit arithmetic, then allocates the pixel buffer from the wrapped result. The default 2 GB max_raw_memory_mb blocks the flaw; exposure requires an application to raise it to about 16 GB and unpack untrusted DNG data.
