CVE-2026-24444Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated root access via hardcoded recovery credentials

Published May 28, 2026 · Updated May 28, 2026

Hardcoded credentials in Shenzhen SDMC Technology NE6037 firmware 7.1.6.0.25 and 7.1.6.1.9_B9 allow remote attackers to gain root access. The public recovery.php route bypasses token checks and dispatches to handleConsoleRecovery in mgmt.php, which compares an HTTP query password with a fixed value and runs iptables commands when it matches. No prior authentication or user interaction is required; a matching request enables LAN-facing SSH or Telnet, where a second hardcoded root password grants full system access.
