Administrative credential brute force via unrestricted login attempts
Published Jan 26, 2026 · Updated Jan 26, 2026
Improper restriction of authentication attempts in Tenda W30E V2 through 16.01.0.19(5037) allows remote attackers to brute-force admin credentials. Authentication endpoints accept repeated credential guesses without rate limiting or account lockout, leaving administrative passwords open to unrestricted online guessing. Network access to the management authentication interface is sufficient; compromise occurs only if a valid administrator password is guessed.
