Service interruption via invalid segmented-curve downcast
Published Jan 24, 2026 · Updated Jan 24, 2026
Type confusion in iccDEV before 2.3.1.2 allows remote attackers to interrupt profile processing or corrupt data via a crafted ICC profile. CIccTagXmlSegmentedCurve::ToXml type-puns a CIccSegmentedCurve pointer as CIccSegmentedCurveXml and invokes a member on an object of the wrong dynamic type. Exploitation requires a user or application to process attacker-supplied profile data; the demonstrated result is undefined behavior, while downstream native consumers face data corruption or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
