Process crash via unchecked XML node dereference
Published Jan 24, 2026 · Updated Jan 24, 2026
NULL pointer dereference in CIccXmlArrayType in iccDEV before 2.3.1.2 allows attackers to crash profile-processing tools. CIccXmlArrayType::ParseArray passes a missing XML node to icXmlNodeCount, which dereferences the null pointer while parsing a malformed profile XML array. Exploitation requires a user or automated workflow to process crafted XML with iccFromXml or another affected consumer; the demonstrated consequence is a process crash.
