Contributor-level restricted-post duplication via generic capability check
Published Jan 22, 2026 · Updated Jan 22, 2026
Missing authorization in WP Quick Post Duplicator 2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to duplicate restricted posts. The apj_duplicate_post_as_a_draft() handler accepts a post ID after only a generic edit_posts check, without verifying access to that post. Contributor access and a reusable nonce are required; exploitation creates an unauthorized draft copy of a private, draft, or another author's post.
