Contributor-level stored XSS via unescaped shortcode attributes
Published Apr 4, 2026 · Updated Apr 4, 2026
Stored XSS in WP Travel Engine 6.7.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts through wte_trip_tax attributes. The wte_trip_tax shortcode renders user-supplied attributes without sufficient input sanitization or output escaping, preserving attacker-controlled markup in a page. Contributor-level access is required, and the injected script executes in the browser of anyone who opens the affected page.
