Cross-quiz question tampering via unchecked AJAX handlers
Published Jan 22, 2026 · Updated Jan 22, 2026
Missing authorization in Quiz And Survey Master 10.3.3 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to alter other users' quiz questions. Multiple question-management AJAX handlers trust submitted question IDs without checking quiz ownership or the edit_others_qsm_quizzes capability. Contributor-level access is sufficient to unlink, duplicate, or delete questions in quizzes the attacker does not own, limiting impact to plugin-managed quiz content.
