Unrecoverable server crash via malformed Inet Address
Published Aug 11, 2026 · Updated Aug 11, 2026
XML injection in wildfly-core allows remote authenticated users with administrative access to cause an unrecoverable server crash. The Management Model accepts a malformed Inet Address value and persists it into standalone.xml, leaving the server unable to restart. Administrative access to the network-reachable management interface is required, and restoring service requires manual removal of the injected data.
