Administrator-level SQL injection via unescaped venue CSV field
Published Mar 7, 2026 · Updated Mar 7, 2026
SQL injection in Community Events 1.5.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read database data through a crafted venue CSV upload. The on_save_changes_venues function inserts the ce_venue_name CSV value into an existing SQL query without sufficient escaping or parameter preparation. Administrator-level WordPress access and the venue-import upload path are required, and the reported impact is database confidentiality loss.
