CVE-2026-24186Network attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unvalidated FOBS type

Published Apr 28, 2026 · Updated Apr 28, 2026

Deserialization of untrusted data in NVIDIA FLARE SDK before 2.7.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via FOBS messages. FOBS accepts an attacker-controlled type_name during object reconstruction without validating it against an allowlist, allowing the deserializer to load an unintended Python type. A low-privileged FLARE participant with network access can trigger execution in the process that decodes the crafted message.
