CVE-2026-24182

Local denial of service via leaked driver locks

Published May 26, 2026 · Updated May 26, 2026

Improper locking in NVIDIA Display Driver for Windows and Linux allows local users to interrupt GPU-backed services. The driver leaks locks it has acquired, leaving synchronization resources unavailable to later operations. Local low-privileged access is required; successful exploitation causes denial of service without reported data disclosure or modification.
