Code execution via unsafe checkpoint deserialization

Deserialization in NVIDIA Transformers4Rec commits before March 11, 2026 allows local users to execute code through a crafted checkpoint. The trainer checkpoint-restoration path passes pytorch_model.bin and rng_state.pth to torch.load, which invokes Python pickle reconstruction on attacker-controlled objects. Exploitation requires a user or process to load the checkpoint; resulting code runs with that process's privileges and can read or alter accessible data.
