Code execution via unsafe checkpoint deserialization
Published Mar 24, 2026 · Updated Mar 24, 2026
Deserialization of untrusted data in NVIDIA NeMo Framework before 2.6.2 allows attackers to execute code through a crafted checkpoint. The checkpoint parser accepts attacker-controlled serialized objects without validating them before deserialization, allowing object reconstruction to invoke code. Exploitation requires supplied checkpoint content to be loaded, and the payload runs with the current process's privileges, enabling data access and modification.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
