Memory corruption via unchecked getMibPrefix sprintf
Published Mar 2, 2026 · Updated Mar 2, 2026
Buffer overflow in Tenda W20E firmware 15.11.0.6 allows remote attackers to corrupt memory via crafted Wi-Fi filter input. The formWifiFilterRulesModify handler passes attacker-controlled nptr to getMibPrefix, where sprintf concatenates it without validating the destination size. No authentication or user interaction is required, but public evidence does not establish whether the overflow causes a crash or code execution.
