CVE-2026-24072Public exploitHinoki check available

Local file read via unrestricted .htaccess expressions

Published May 4, 2026 · Updated May 4, 2026

Improper privilege management in Apache HTTP Server 2.4.66 and earlier allows local users to read files through .htaccess expressions. Several modules parse ap_expr directives from .htaccess files without the restricted flag, exposing file-reading functions under the httpd account. Exploitation requires permission to author .htaccess content, and disclosure is limited to files readable by the httpd user.
