Privilege escalation in Vienna Assistant 1.2.542 for macOS allows local users to execute arbitrary commands as root through its XPC helper. The helper's listener:shouldAcceptNewConnection: method accepts every NSXPC client, while runUninstaller executes unvalidated arguments through Bash. Any local process implementing HelperToolProtocol can invoke the root helper to run commands or write arbitrary files.
