BACnet data disclosure and modification via cleartext packets
Published Mar 20, 2026 · Updated Mar 20, 2026
Cleartext transmission in Automated Logic WebCTRL Premium Server before 8.5 allows remote attackers to read and alter BACnet service data. The server sends File Start Position, File Data, and proprietary controller-update content in unencrypted BACnet packets, exposing it to packet capture and tampering. Network access to the BACnet traffic path is required; captured update traffic can disclose service data and enable reverse engineering of the proprietary format.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
