Stored XSS via regex-filtered project names

Stored XSS in Horilla HRMS 1.4.0 allows remote authenticated users to run JavaScript through a crafted project name. The has_xss() function checks the name against incomplete, context-agnostic regular expressions, allowing encoded JavaScript in an anchor to pass and be stored. A privileged account must create the project and a victim must click its name; execution can expose CSRF tokens and enable admin-targeted requests.
