CVE-2026-24034Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated cookie theft via unchecked profile photo upload

Published Jan 22, 2026 · Updated Jan 22, 2026

File-upload XSS in Horilla HRMS before 1.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to steal cookies through a crafted profile photo upload. The profile photo update path accepts an HTML filename and text/html content without validating the extension or media type, allowing the uploaded script to execute when rendered. A low-privileged account is required to submit the multipart upload, and successful execution exposes cookies accessible to page scripts without interrupting service.
