CVE-2026-23978Network attack vector

Contributor-level code execution via local file inclusion

Published Jan 22, 2026 · Updated Jan 22, 2026

Local file inclusion in Softwebmedia Gyan Elements 2.2.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute server-side PHP code. The public advisory states that attacker-selected local files are included and executed, but it does not identify the vulnerable function or input parameter. Contributor-level WordPress access is required, and code execution depends on placing PHP code in a server file, including an upload accepted as a safe file type.
