Metadata disclosure via incomplete ClickHouse function filtering
Published Feb 24, 2026 · Updated Feb 24, 2026
SQL injection in Apache Superset before 4.1.2 allows remote authenticated users to disclose ClickHouse server metadata through SQL Lab or charts. The default DISALLOWED_SQL_FUNCTIONS entry for ClickHouse omits version, currentDatabase, and hostName, so the query check permits those functions. A ClickHouse connection and permission to submit SQL Lab or chart queries are required; exposure is limited to the server version, database name, and host name.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
