Attachment spoofing in WhatsApp for Windows before 2.3000.1032164386.258709 allows remote attackers to execute a disguised file. Attachment filename handling uses a NUL-truncated representation for the displayed type while permitting the executable file to run when opened. A recipient must receive and open the crafted document; the bounded consequence is attacker-controlled code execution, with no observed exploitation.
