Unauthenticated database disclosure via shared media directory
Published Jan 19, 2026 · Updated Jan 19, 2026
Information disclosure in the Nixpkgs Tandoor Recipes module 23.05 through 25.11 allows remote attackers to read its SQLite database. The module sets both its working directory and MEDIA_ROOT to /var/lib/tandoor-recipes, placing db.sqlite3 inside the HTTP-served media tree. Exposure requires SQLite with the default media root and either GUNICORN_MEDIA enabled or a web server configured to serve that directory.
