Unauthenticated order failure via missing ownership check
Published Jun 16, 2026 · Updated Jun 16, 2026
Missing authorization in WooCommerce Stripe Payment Gateway 10.7.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to mark pending orders failed. The wc_stripe_pay_for_order WC-AJAX endpoint passes an enumerated order to ajax_pay_for_order(), which accepts a page-exposed nonce without checking order ownership or the order_key. When Express Checkout is enabled, an unauthenticated request with a fake payment method triggers a payment exception that changes the selected pending order to failed.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
