Editor-level file upload via missing type validation
Published Mar 5, 2026 · Updated Mar 5, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Meow Apps AI Engine 3.3.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to place arbitrary files on the server. The plugin's upload handling accepts dangerous file types because it does not validate the submitted file type before storage. Editor-level access is required, and uploaded server-executable content can provide code execution under the web server account.
