CVE-2026-23792

Baseband crash via unauthenticated RRC Setup message

Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026

Denial of service in Samsung Exynos 1080 NR RRC allows remote attackers to crash the baseband via an unauthenticated Setup message. The NR RRC component incorrectly handles the downlink control message before authentication instead of preserving baseband operation. The attacker must be able to deliver the 5G NR downlink message, and successful exploitation interrupts cellular baseband service by crashing it.
