Kernel crash via DRM HDR TOCTOU race
Published Sep 14, 2026 · Updated Sep 14, 2026
A TOCTOU race in the DPU of Samsung Exynos 1280 firmware allows attackers to crash the kernel via unspecified vectors. The Exynos DRM HDR driver performs a check and a later use across a race window, so concurrently changed state drives a heap overflow. Samsung has not disclosed the required access or trigger, and the demonstrated consequence is a kernel crash rather than code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
