Sensitive-data logging in Dell PowerProtect Data Domain DD OS 8.0 through 8.5 allows remote authenticated users to expose credentials. DD OS writes sensitive information to a log during authentication, but Dell does not identify the log, field, or code path responsible. Exploitation requires retention lock, low-privileged remote access, and approval by a high-privileged DD user; the exposed credential enables access as the compromised account.
