Heap-based buffer overflow in Siemens Simcenter Femap and Simcenter Nastran before 2512 allows attackers to execute code via an NDB file. The NDB parser writes beyond a heap buffer when it processes specially crafted file content; Siemens has not disclosed the affected routine or field. Execution requires a local user to open an untrusted file, and successful exploitation runs code with the current process's privileges.
