Administrator-level code execution via module archive upload
Published Jul 7, 2026 · Updated Jul 7, 2026
Unrestricted file upload in Vtiger CRM 8.4.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code through module import. ModuleManager extracts crafted archive contents into the web-accessible modules directory while validating only the manifest descriptor, leaving embedded PHP files unrestricted. Administrator access to module import is required, and an uploaded script remains directly reachable through the web server as a persistent web shell.
