Authenticated remote code execution via owner SQL injection
Published Apr 7, 2026 · Updated Apr 7, 2026
SQL injection in Windmill CE and EE 1.276.0 through 1.603.2 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary code. The add_owner handler formats the owner value directly into a jsonb_set path in an UPDATE statement, allowing subqueries to place database secrets in readable folder permissions. Any authenticated user can create and own a folder; leaked JWT secrets and administrator identifiers enable token forgery and workflow code execution, and Flow 1.0.0 through 1.2.2 embeds the affected server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
