Improper certificate validation in Lenovo FileZ allows man-in-the-middle attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected Windows and Android clients. Lenovo has not disclosed the affected certificate-validation routine or the precise trust decision it makes incorrectly when establishing a connection. Exploitation requires intercepted traffic and passive user interaction; affected releases are Windows before 10.12.3.0 and Android before 11.1.0.35, and success runs code in the client context.
