Authenticated file enumeration via unrestricted path check
Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026
File-existence disclosure in GFI Software MailEssentials before 22.4 allows remote authenticated users to enumerate arbitrary server files. The ListServer.IsDBExist() web method URL-decodes the JSON path value and passes it without restriction to File.Exists(). Authentication to the web interface is required, and the response reveals whether a chosen file exists but does not disclose file contents.
