Stored script execution via unneutralized domain description
Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026
Stored XSS in GFI MailEssentials AI before 22.4 allows remote authenticated users to run scripts in a logged-in user's browser. The Local Domains handler stores ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$Pv3$txtDescription without neutralizing it before general.aspx renders the description. A user with management access must save the payload, and script execution occurs only when a logged-in user views the stored entry.
