Stored XSS via unsanitized subject condition
Published Feb 19, 2026 · Updated Feb 19, 2026
Stored XSS in GFI MailEssentials AI before 22.4 allows remote authenticated users to execute script in a logged-in user's browser. The Spam Keyword Checking page stores the ctl00$ContentPlaceHolder1$pvSubject$TXB_SubjectCondition value and renders it as active HTML without neutralization. Exploitation requires management access and a logged-in user to view the stored condition, exposing that user's interface data and actions.
