Service interruption via unlimited WebSocket connections
Published Jul 16, 2026 · Updated Jul 16, 2026
Resource exhaustion in Feast Feature Server before 0.59.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt service through unauthenticated WebSockets. The /ws/chat handler accepts persistent connections without authentication and enforces no connection cap, message-size limit, rate limit, or read timeout. Any network client that can reach the endpoint can hold enough sockets to consume memory, CPU, and file descriptors until legitimate requests fail.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
