CVE-2026-23524Network attack vector

Remote code execution via unrestricted Redis deserialization

Published Jan 21, 2026 · Updated Jan 21, 2026

Insecure deserialization in Laravel Reverb before 1.7.0 allows remote attackers to execute code through Redis Pub/Sub messages. PusherPubSubIncomingMessageHandler passes event application and payload values to PHP unserialize() without an allowed-class restriction, permitting attacker-controlled object instantiation. Exploitation requires horizontal scaling to be enabled and attacker access to the configured Redis service; successful code execution runs in the Reverb process context.
