CVE-2026-23515Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Command execution via interpolated navigation datetime

Published Feb 2, 2026 · Updated Feb 2, 2026

Command injection in Signal K Server before 1.5.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute shell commands through WebSocket messages. The set-system-time plugin interpolates navigation.datetime into a date command and passes the resulting string to sh -c without validation. The plugin must be enabled on Linux; readwrite or admin access is required when security is enabled, while disabled security exposes the command path without authentication.
