CVE-2026-23501Network attack vector

Authenticated command execution

Published Aug 19, 2026 · Updated Aug 20, 2026

OS command injection in Dell RecoverPoint for Virtual Machines 6.0.3 and 6.0.3.1 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. Dell's advisory and CNA record identify improper neutralization in an OS command path but do not name the affected endpoint, parameter, or function that passes attacker-controlled input to the shell. Exploitation requires high privileges and remote access to the management surface, which limits reachability to administrative contexts, but successful use still yields code execution on the appliance.
