CVE-2026-23453Network attack vector

Remote memory exhaustion via unrecycled XDP_DROP pages

Published Apr 3, 2026 · Updated Apr 3, 2026

Memory leak in the TI ICSSG Ethernet driver in Linux Kernel 6.19 allows remote attackers to exhaust memory via dropped packets. In emac_run_xdp(), XDP_DROP returns ICSSG_XDP_CONSUMED without returning non-zero-copy receive pages to the page pool. A running ICSSG interface with a non-zero-copy XDP drop program is required; sustained matching traffic causes OOM termination, reset, or host unavailability.
