Local system crash via unchecked IPv6 device

NULL pointer dereference in affected Linux Kernel releases allows local users to crash the system through IPv6 SRv6 processing. __in6_dev_get() can return NULL for a device without IPv6 configuration, but seg6_hmac_validate_skb() and ipv6_srh_rcv() dereference the returned idev. Reachability requires the SRv6 paths and a device lacking IPv6 configuration, such as after device unregister or with an undersized MTU; the documented consequence is loss of system availability.
