Out-of-bounds read via negative metadata offset

Out-of-bounds read in Linux Kernel Squashfs from 2.6.29 allows attackers to trigger a general protection fault via a corrupted image. A corrupted index lookup produces a negative metadata-block offset that squashfs_read_metadata passes to squashfs_copy_data without a range check. Squashfs must process the image; the reported consequence is an invalid read and fault, with no reported code execution.
