CVE-2026-23310

Kernel warning via incompatible bonding policy

Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026

State validation error in Linux Kernel allows local users to trigger a kernel warning through an incompatible bonding policy change. bond_option_xmit_hash_policy_set() accepts vlan+srcmac after native XDP is loaded, although bond_xdp_check() rejects that combination during removal. The path requires 802.3ad or balance-xor mode followed by bond destruction; the record reports the warning but no data access or code execution.
