CVE-2026-23279

Adjacent kernel crash via missing mesh CSA field

Published Mar 25, 2026 · Updated Mar 25, 2026

NULL pointer dereference in mac80211 allows remote attackers to crash Linux Kernel systems with a crafted mesh channel-switch frame. mesh_rx_csa_frame dereferences mesh_chansw_params_ie after parsing without confirming that the optional Mesh Channel Switch Parameters element exists. Reachability requires an established adjacent mesh peer link; default open mesh peering supplies no additional authentication barrier.
